Come develop at Kipp: Shape the future of FinTech innovation
Kipp is a fast-growing FinTech startup reshaping the way real-time transactions are processed across the globe. We’re searching for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for backend development. This role is a perfect fit for someone with at least 5 years of development experience, eager to dive into innovative projects and make a tangible impact.

About the job

Come build with us at KIPP and help shape the future of FinTech

We’re a FinTech startup working to make real-time transactions smarter, smoother, and way more reliable.

You know the drill – here’s the short version:

Founders with solid track records, a tight-knit team working with up-to-date tech on a product that actually makes sense, and 3 days a week at the office (right by the train station!).

We’re not looking for a “code wizard” or a “dev ninja” >> but a Senior Software Engineer who likes taking full ownership, enjoys a good challenge, and wants to make a real impact.

What you’ll do:

  • Own what you build – from architecture to deployment
  • Work on a real-time system using modern backend technologies
  • Solve actual problems with real clients and see your work go live fast
  • Be part of a small core team with lots of room to influence

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js
  • Solid experience with AWS
  • Comfortable taking on complex systems
  • A degree from a known university
  • Independent, curious, and excited about startups – even if you’ve never been in one

Why join Kipp?

We’re tackling a problem that’s everywhere – transaction rejections. By reducing friction and increasing trust in global payments, we’re building something that matters.

If you’re into autonomy, responsibility, and doing work that doesn’t get buried under layers of bureaucracy,

let’s talk.

HPOS075  Business Development Director
US Remote· Full-time

About the Role
KIPP has developed a unique platform that enables card issuers to approve transactions that would otherwise be declined due to insufficient funds, creating a new merchant-funded revenue stream while improving the cardholder experience. While our platform supports broader card use cases, our current commercial focus is on debit card issuers in the US.
Backed by a strong group of leading investors, KIPP is entering its commercial growth phase and is hiring its first Business Development Director in the US to lead enterprise sales with US financial institutions.
Our board includes the former Chairman of American Express and the former Chief Strategy Officer of Worldpay. You’ll work directly with KIPP’s founders and leadership team, who bring decades of experience in payments, together with a highly engaged board that actively supports strategic introductions, customer engagement, and commercial strategy. You will lead complex enterprise sales processes by mapping bank organizations, identifying key stakeholders, developing multi-level engagement strategies, and navigating long sales cycles from initial engagement through commercial success, while helping build a disciplined and scalable enterprise sales organization.

What You’ll Own
• Own enterprise opportunities with US financial institutions from initial engagement through commercial success.
• Map complex bank organizations, identify decision-makers and influencers, and build multi-threaded relationships across business, product, technology, and executive stakeholders.
• Develop strategic account plans and lead complex enterprise sales cycles through discovery, qualification, business case development, compliance, procurement, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Contribute to the development of KIPP’s enterprise sales methodology by refining target account strategies, qualification frameworks, outreach cadences, and pipeline management.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations, from technical teams to executive leadership.
• Bring market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights back to management and the board to help shape product and commercial strategy.
• Travel regularly to customer and industry meetings across the US to build long-term relationships and drive commercial opportunities.

What You Bring
• 5–10 years of enterprise B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of selling complex technology solutions to senior executives at US financial institutions (e.g., Head of Cards, Head of Debit, Head of Credit, Head of Consumer Banking, EVP Payments, CIO, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles, building consensus across business, product, technology, risk, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Highly organized and methodical, with a structured approach to account planning, organizational mapping, stakeholder management, and pipeline execution.
• Experience building and refining scalable enterprise sales processes, methodologies, and best practices in a high-growth environment.
• Deep understanding of how US financial institutions evaluate, procure, and implement enterprise technology solutions.
• US-based, with willingness to travel frequently to customer meetings and industry events across the country.
• Self-starter with a high degree of ownership, capable of developing strategic outreach, building target account plans, and managing a disciplined sales pipeline independently.
Nice to Have
• Domain knowledge in debit card programs, issuer processing, or bank card enhancements
• Experience selling to or from within Fiserv, Jack Henry, or the FIS ecosystem
• Existing relationships with decision-makers at large US banks.
